The newest peer-reviewed contribution from the Grusz lab is now available in the February 2021 special issue of American Journal of Botany: Life without water. In this study, we provide a comprehensive synthesis, encompassing more than 100 years of published research, focused on the origin and establishment of apomixis in ferns and highlighting essential insights from the pellaeid clade (Cheilanthoideae, Pteridaceae).
